Dr. Aixia YAN, Professor of the College of Life Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). She obtained her B.A. (1995) and Ph.D (2000) in chemistry at Lanzhou University. From Jan. 2001 to Jan. 2003, supported by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, she worked in the group of Prof. Johann Gasteiger, University of Erlangen in Germany. From Feb. 2003 to Jan. 2005, she worked in the group of Prof. W. Graham Richards in Oxford University. Since Feb. 2005, she worked in Beijing University of Chemical Technology in China. Her current main research field is cheminformatics, including application of machine learning methods for building SAR/QSAR models for prediction the bioactivities of inhibitors of aurora-A kinase, HIV-1 integrase, HCV protease and polymerase, etc., and using the built models for virtual screening.
