The USI (University of Lugano), established in 1995, is active in the fields of architecture, communication sciences, computational science, data science, economics, health studies, humanities, informatics, law, medicine and biomedicine. As a young university, it is dedicated to provide a high-quality interdisciplinary education, encouraging the free flow and open exchange of ideas. Within AIDD, it acts as host institution to the PhD student employed at the IDSIA, which is jointly affiliated with the University of Applied
Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and the USI.
