Sigrid Scheek is a Technology Manager at Ascenion GmbH, advising Ascenion’s partner institutes such as Helmholtz Zentrum München in all aspects of Technology Transfer. She is a registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) with more than 15 years of experience in life science business development, support of spin off projects, IP management and licensing of academic technologies to industry. She is providing educational trainings on intellectual property rights and technology transfer topics.
Before joining Ascenion she held positions in the fields of preclinical drug discovery, project management and business development in the German Biotech industry at Ingenium Pharmaceuticals and Axaron Bioscience (now 4basebio). As a chemist by training, with a strong background in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology she holds a PhD in biochemistry from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and did a post-doctoral fellowship at the UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, USA.
