The MPG is a non-profit organisation which supports excellent fundamental research through a network of Institutes situated in Germany, as well as internationally. The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Dortmund (MPI-MP) is one of over 80 independent Institutes of the Max Planck Gesellschaft. It consists of four Departments that combine chemical biology, biochemical reconstitution, structural biology and advanced microscopy.
